A reference to Constantin Brancusi's Endless Column, Endless Puzzle is the reconfiguration of boulders as puzzle pieces. "This comes back a little bit towards that whole thing of boulders being pedestrian. Here is a new spin or a new, playful way to call attention to them," said Curtis. It is interesting that the piece, having been installed at the West Branch Sculpture Park for a few years, takes on the life of boulders in the natural environment. Moss has started growing on them. An example of the harmony of Curtis's sculpture: objects that blend naturally into the environment and yet retain the mark of man's intervention on the natural world.
